Gluten Free Pecan Brownies

These gooey, chocolatey, fudgy brownies are great for dinner parties, birthdays, or just to have on hand when that sweet tooth strikes. I mean, who doesn’t love a good old brownie? Made with natural ingredients, like coconut sugar and maple syrup and gluten-free. You won’t be able to stop at just one!

Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F and grease an 8x8 inch baking dish with coconut oil.
  2. To a large mixing bowl add coconut oil, coconut sugar, maple syrup and vanilla extract. Whisk thoroughly to combine.
  3. Add eggs and whisk once more until combined. Then add baking powder, sea salt, and cacao powder and whisk.
  4. Add gluten-free flour and almond flour and fold with a spatula until just mixed. Then add chocolate chips and chopped pecans.
  5. Add the batter to the prepared baking dish and spread into an even layer with a rubber spatula. Add a few additional chocolate chips or pecans if desired.
  6. Bake for 18-22 minutes, or the center is no longer wet or sticky.
  7. Remove from oven and let cool in the pan for at least 10 minutes. Then gently lift out of pan and use a sharp knife to cut into 9 squares.
  8. If making the chocolate drizzle, melt the chocolate chips and coconut oil. Drizzle over the brownies and enjoy!
