Pork always play second fiddle to chicken and it’s really such a shame. It’s another lean, white meat that is wonderfully flavorful when prepared correctly. We’re making a fast, healthier BBQ sauce in the blender to marinate our pork chops in and glaze them while they bake.
Clean Eating BBQ Pork Chops with Homemade BBQ Sauce
Add the tomato paste, water, maple syrup, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, chili powder, onion powder, salt and black pepper into a blender or food processor. Process until everything is blended to make the BBQ sauce.
Place the pork chops into a large platic pag or bowl with 3/4 of the BBQ sauce.
Marinate in the fridge for at least 1 hour, or up to 4 hours.
When you're ready to cook, preheat the oven to 400 degrees. Remove the pork chops from the bag and place them in a lightly greased baking dish.
Bake for 20 minutes. Remove them from the oven, brush with the remaining BBQ sauce, and bake for 5-10 additional minutes. The pork should be cooked all the way through with no pink color remaining.
